Mount Willard is located near Bretton Woods, NH, and is one of the most heavily trafficked trails in the area. The hike is 3.2 miles and has spectacular views of Crawford Notch. At the base of the trail is the AMC Highland center where hikers can stay, eat, and enjoy the scenery. The historic Crawford Train Station is also located at the base of Willard which provides for spectacular photography opportunities.
Located in North Conway just off of West Side Road, Diana’s bath is a very heavily visited tourist attraction due to its easy access, low difficulty level, and beauty. The 1.3 mile trail features waterfalls and stunning scenery.
Mount Washington is one of the most popular and most difficult hikes in the North East. The Mount Washington summit is the highest point in the North East and is home to the world’s worst weather. Hikers can choose from multiple trails on each side of the mountain depending on their skill level. The summit provides views unlike any other hike in the area and a weather observatory. The hike is considered for advanced hikers only and you must be prepared for a full day of hiking and check weather conditions prior to beginning your hike.
Lonesome Lake Trail is a popular 3.1 mile trail in Lincoln, NH. The trail is considered moderate and provides views of a beautiful lake in the middle of the mountains.
Rattle Snake Mountain Trail
Rattlesnake Mountain Trail is a beautifully scenic 2.3 mile moderate hike with incredible views of the lakes region and the mountains. The trail is located in Rumney, NH, and is around 2.3 miles.
Attitash Mountain Resort is one of the most popular ski areas for visitors and locals. Located in Bartlett, NH just outside of North Conway, Attitash operates in the White Mountain National Forest. Attitash is a multi-season mountain providing exceptional winter activities and an alpine slide, summer chairlift rides with remarkable views and other fun activities in the warmer months. Attitash is operated by Vail Resorts and is located off of U.S. Route 302.
Great Glen Trails
Great Glen Trails offers almost every outdoor activity that you can imagine. From cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and tubing in the winter, to kayaking, guided tours, mountain biking, and trail running in the summer. Great Glen Trails is located in Gorham, NH at the base of Mount Washington. You can also participate in events such as trail running and bike series.
Wildcat Mountain is located near Jackson, New Hampshire, and is one of the most popular ski spots in the Mount Washington Valley. Wildcat is a more advanced mountain than some and has the second largest vertical drop in New Hampshire and the 9th largest vertical drop in New England. Wildcat also has summer attractions like a Zipline and guided canopy tours.
Cranmore Mountain Resort
Cranmore Mountain resort is located in the heart of North Conway. Cranmore has family friendly skiing in the winter and an outdoor adventure park in the summer and fall. Cranmore also hosts the famous annual Ghoullog haunted house in the fall and a concert series in the summer.
The Bretton Woods Ski Area is a part of the Omni Mount Washington Resort located in Bretton Woods, NH. This ski mountain has one of the most beautiful views in the North East with direct views of Mount Washington from the ski trails. In 2020, Bretton Woods was voted #1 Scenery in the East, #1 Grooming in the East, and #1 Snow in the East by Ski Magazine.
Loon Mountain, located in Lincoln, NH provides an abundance of Winter and Summer activities just down the stunning Kancamagus Highway. Loon features winter skiing as well as summer attractions such as Gondola rides, Mountain Biking, Disc Golf, mountain top yoga, and hiking.
